There are various reasons why pet owners may need to surrender or re-home their pets, including changes in housing situations, financial constraints, health issues, or personal circumstances. Whatever the reason, we're here to provide support and assistance.

When a pet owner reaches out to us for rehoming assistance, we do not pass judgement, and we do not turn away animals as long as we are able to care for them!

If you’d like to re-home your pet while having it in our care at Northwoods Animal Shelter, there are minimal one-time-fees as follows:

Cat Surrender: $25

Dog Surrender: $30
